We provide a traceability and verification platform that allows businesses to manage product catalogs, batches, production stages, Certificates of Analysis, QR verification pages, recall workflows, scan analytics, and related trust records.

Who this policy applies to

This Privacy Policy applies to business customers, authorized users, consumers, public users, and website visitors who access or use meiver, including our website, dashboard, QR verification pages, APIs, integrations, and related services.

meiver provides a traceability and verification platform that allows businesses to manage product catalogs, batches, production stages, Certificates of Analysis, QR verification pages, recall workflows, scan analytics, and related trust records.

  • Business customers who create accounts, manage products, upload batch records, generate QR codes, attach lab reports, and use the meiver dashboard.
  • Authorized users such as employees, operators, auditors, consultants, manufacturers, QA teams, or brand team members invited to use a customer account.
  • Consumers and public users who scan a meiver-powered QR code on a product pack or visit a public verification page.
  • Website visitors who browse meiver.io, submit forms, book demos, contact support, or interact with our marketing pages.

Our role in data processing

Depending on the situation, meiver may act as a data processor or service provider when we process information on behalf of a brand, manufacturer, distributor, or business customer. This includes product records, batch data, production stage data, CoA documents, recall data, and consumer scan records linked to that customer’s products.

meiver may act as a data controller or data fiduciary when we decide how and why we collect information directly from our own website visitors, demo leads, account administrators, billing contacts, support users, and platform users.

Our customers remain responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of the product, batch, laboratory, certificate, regulatory, and recall information they upload to meiver.

Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to provide, secure, improve, and support our services.

  • Account and business information, including company name, brand name, business address, GST, tax, billing, or registration details where required, admin name, email address, phone number, job title, login credentials, team member details, role settings, billing information, and subscription information.
  • Product and batch information, including product names, SKU codes, GTINs, ingredients, allergens, nutrition details, shelf life, storage conditions, country of origin, manufacturing details, batch ID, lot code, manufacturing date, expiry date, quantity, production status, stage records, QC records, supplier details, facility details, packaging records, dispatch records, recall status, internal notes, comments, and tags.
  • Certificate and document information, including Certificate of Analysis files, lab test results, quality documents, regulatory documents, FSSAI, FDA, GMP, organic, export, or similar certificates, product images, brand story assets, audit documents, and supporting records.
  • QR scan and consumer verification data, including product scanned, batch scanned, date and time of scan, approximate location derived from IP address or device/browser permission, device type, browser type, operating system, IP address, QR source, page interaction data, language preference, repeat scan activity, consumer feedback, rating, or contact details if voluntarily submitted.
  • Website, analytics, and technical data, including pages visited, referral source, time spent on pages, clicks and interactions, device and browser details, IP address, cookies and similar identifiers, form submissions, demo request information, and support chat or email content.
  • Payment information processed through third-party payment providers such as Razorpay, Stripe, or other providers. meiver does not store full card numbers or sensitive payment credentials unless legally permitted and operationally required.

We use information to operate the platform, protect accounts, support customers, maintain traceability records, and deliver consumer-facing verification experiences.

Public verification pages

meiver allows brands to make selected product, batch, certificate, and traceability information publicly visible through QR scan pages.

Customers control what information they publish through public verification pages. Once information is made public through a QR code or public verification page, it may be viewed by consumers, retailers, auditors, regulators, distributors, or anyone with access to the QR link.

Customers must not upload or publish confidential, sensitive, false, misleading, unlawful, or third-party restricted information unless they have the necessary rights and approvals.

Accuracy of uploaded product and lab data

meiver is a technology platform. We provide tools to store, organize, display, and verify records, but we do not automatically guarantee that every product claim, laboratory result, certificate, ingredient statement, regulatory declaration, or batch record uploaded by a customer is true, complete, current, or legally compliant.

The customer is responsible for the accuracy, authenticity, legality, and regulatory compliance of all product, batch, certificate, claim, recall, and public verification information uploaded or published through meiver.

  • Accuracy of product and batch data.
  • Authenticity of uploaded certificates and lab reports.
  • Regulatory compliance of product claims.
  • Correctness of allergen, nutrition, ingredient, expiry, and storage information.
  • Timely update of recall or safety information.
  • Permissions to publish third-party documents or data.
  • Compliance with food, pharma, consumer, labeling, advertising, and data protection laws.

Batch records, audit logs, CoA records, QR scan logs, and recall records may be retained for extended periods because traceability, safety, and regulatory accountability often require historical records.

Customers may request deletion of certain data, subject to legal, contractual, regulatory, safety, backup, and legitimate business limitations.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted or stored through the internet.

Customers are responsible for maintaining strong passwords, managing user access, protecting account credentials, and removing access for users who no longer require it.

Account access and user permissions

Customer administrators are responsible for inviting authorized users, assigning correct roles and permissions, removing inactive or unauthorized users, reviewing account access, ensuring internal users handle data responsibly, and preventing misuse of QR, batch, CoA, recall, and public verification tools.

meiver is not responsible for unauthorized activity caused by weak passwords, shared credentials, compromised devices, or customer-side access mismanagement.

Your information may be stored or processed in India or other countries where our infrastructure providers, processors, or partners operate.

Where applicable, we use reasonable safeguards for international transfers, including contractual protections, processor obligations, and security controls.

If you scan a product QR code, meiver may process scan data to show batch-specific verification information and help brands understand product engagement.

If you voluntarily provide contact details for recall alerts or product updates, those details may be used to notify you about safety, quality, recall, or important batch-related information.

We may also process scan data in aggregated or de-identified form to help brands understand scan activity, product trust, consumer engagement, and recall reach.

meiver is not intended for use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent where required by law.
